Brain Science & Artificial Intelligence
The human brain is one of the most sophisticated systems in nature. How to achieve direct communication between the brain and external devices has long been regarded as a core frontier at the intersection of neuroscience and information technology. With the global market size exceeding hundreds of billions of USD in 2025, its related fields are reshaping the global technology landscape at an annual growth rate of over 40%. Majors such as brain science, biomedical engineering, and AI have become popular academic choices. This program invites HKUST instructors specializing in bioengineering to deliver lectures on brain science, brain-computer technology, biomedical engineering, and computer science, covering topics such as the fundamentals of brain science and brainwaves, biomedical engineering, and brain-computer interfaces. Students will engage in practical activities such as simulated EEG signal acquisition and EEG signal processing. Through hands-on practice and deep learning, they will explore subjects like brain science, biomedical engineering, and computer science, and have an opportunity to visit tech enterprises or institutions to explore leading technologies and future developments in brain-computer technology or biomedical engineering in Hong Kong.

我认为在操作六足机器人时,是我收获最大的时候,因为在此期间你会遇到很多困难,要不断试错,不断带入不同的代码,让机器人以不同的形式运动,最后呈现出你想要的样子。在过程中,你的代码和实际操作可能会有所不同,所以我们团队一直在略微的调整,时间有点短了些,不过还好我们团队还是已接近完美的形式进行制作,并且讲述给大家听。我认为这个大大加强了我的团队合作能力和手动实践能力,这次的获奖也同样离不开我们团队的互相合作,同学之间扬长避短,相互融合观点,做到最好。最后也希望AI能融入我们的生活,我自己也能制作AI使自己的生活更加美好。—— 深圳市第三高级中学国际部Alevel班 李同学
