CESIM is the most widely used simulation course platform in universities globally, integrating teaching and research. Founded in Finland in 1996, it covers over a hundred countries worldwide. In the QS ranking, nearly half of the top 50 business schools globally use the CESIM, accompanied by corresponding textbooks for teaching, such as Harvard Business School, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Imperial College London, and IMD Business School in Switzerland. In China, CESIM has been introduced into top universities such as Tsinghua University and Renmin University of China and is used for internal management training in Fortune Global 500 central enterprises.
The core of the CESIM Global Business Training program is a highly sophisticated computer dynamic simulation system. Participants typically work in teams and make decisions for their virtual companies each quarter based on modern enterprise management knowledge, competing with other companies in the same market. Decisions involve various aspects of business operations, including production, research and development, marketing, human resources, investment, and finance, and consist of dozens of parameters. The aim is to simulate as closely as possible the real operating conditions of a company under market economy conditions. The decisions of each company are processed by the software system, resulting in a "Management Report" that reflects market effects. Through nine cycles, the company with the highest stock market price at the end wins.

Feedbacks
I particularly enjoyed the teaching sessions during the program. The instructor provided examples and analyzed successful business cases in today's market. These examples relate to daily life, enabling us to understand the market more quickly. Compared to the hands-on team practical exercises, which can be challenging to navigate, I prefer listening to the mentor's explanations. Participating in the program also enhanced my teamwork skills and ability to communicate and solve problems individually.—— Jiangsu Tianyi High School
Multiple decision rounds provided me with different insights into all departments within an enterprise, bringing about positive changes, such as a more precise understanding that I am not suited for the research department and that if I aim to join the finance department, I need to acquire more specialized knowledge in finance beyond mere calculations. This experience has enhanced my understanding of company operations, making me more familiar with the organizational structure. Through the comprehensive learning process, I improved the professional skills mentioned in the workshop.—— Stanford American International School - Student Wang
I enjoyed every aspect of the decision-making process, especially the marketing segment. No market can resist the allure of low prices, but there are also many potential variables. We implemented different marketing strategies in various markets. For instance, in Europe, low prices can negatively impact sales, while in the United States, sales of new products are heavily influenced by advertising. We calculated the appropriate advertising prices to maximize profits by employing linear optimization. Asia is highly price-sensitive, where lower prices can lead to significant sales. In contrast, the European market has specific requirements for product features, especially for high-end products requiring more features.—— Hongyi Cambridge International School
