Program Introduction

Bionics Fish Underwater Robot & Intelligent Sensing

Researchers from Duke University and other institutions have created a robotic fish capable of swimming in real rivers. This research was featured on the cover of Science Robotics, a top-tier global journal in robotics. As a product of deep integration between AI and robotics, bionic robotic fish are reshaping human production and lifestyles with dual breakthroughs in “human-like form + intelligent interaction.” Data shows that by 2025, the global bionic robot market will exceed $42 billion, while the industry will undergo a core technological transformation from “single-point breakthroughs” to “ecosystem reconstruction.” ASEEDER, in collaboration with XIHU QIANKUN, has co-designed the Bionics Fish Underwater Robot & Intelligent Sensing program, focusing on Electronic Engineering, Bionic Technology, Computer Science, and Environmental Engineering. Students will engage in hands-on challenges such as building the main body of the bionic robotic fish, bionic design, and programming control for underwater movement. Ultimately, students will complete an underwater environmental monitoring project task in groups. Upon completion, participants will receive a participation certificate issued by XIHU QIANKUN and a Certificate in Careers and Experiencing Work Short Course accredited by UCAS. Best individuals will obtain recommendation letters signed by their mentors to enhance their university applications.

Teaching Faculty

Teacher Li

  • Dr. Li holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and has long been engaged in research on fluid mechanics, underwater robotics, and ocean engineering. Li conducted postdoctoral research at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Westlake University, focusing on vortex-induced vibration, hydrodynamic modeling, bio-inspired flapping wing propulsion, and reinforcement learning optimization. Li has published multiple papers as first or co-author in international journals such as Ocean Engineering and Physics of Fluids, and holds several invention patents related to hydrodynamic experiments and underwater devices.
  • Teacher Jing

  • Jing is a Senior Engineer of Underwater Robotics and a Product Manager, with a long-term focus on the R&D of underwater intelligent equipment. Jing specializes in software-hardware collaborative design and scenario-based engineering implementation. Jing has led teams to achieve multiple outstanding results in national competitions, including the National College Student Intelligent Car Competition and the National College Student Electronic Design Competition. Jing holds certifications in AI training and patent development, and possesses solid engineering implementation capabilities as well as extensive experience in robotic system development.
