AT International Finance Training

ASDAN China has strategically partnered with Amplify Trading (AT) from the United Kingdom to introduce an online simulated financial trading system used in the internal training of world-renowned investment banks, into Chinese secondary school education, allowing students to comprehend the intricacies of the financial industry through progressively challenging hands-on simulations.

Students will simulate stock market trading with a virtual fund of 20 million. The curriculum includes modules such as simulating the role of the Federal Reserve Chairman, Business Negotiations, Asset Management, and Investment Banking Sales.

Amplify Trading (AT) is a financial, practical operation company based in the UK. It provides practical operation systems for global enterprises and universities in the international financial market through theoretical teaching and simulated trading. The company has a high-tech online simulated trading system that simulates multi-product trading of buyers, sellers, sales, and exchanges in financial markets. It has also been honored with the prestigious CFA Global Education Innovation Award.
Many world-renowned investment banks and institutions, including Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and HSBC, use AT products for recruitment screening and employee practical courses. Meanwhile, the practical experience provided by AT in the financial market significantly enhances students' competitiveness in employment. AT has partnered with over 60 prestigious institutions, such as Oxford, the London School of Economics and Political Science, London Business School, and Imperial College London.
Since entering China in 2017, A.T. has provided secondary market-related courses for the Dalian Commodity Exchange, Bank of China Head Office, CITIC Securities, and Guotai Junan Securities. In terms of universities, A.T. has provided financial, practical operation courses for students at Peking University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, offering a platform for students with a strong interest in financial markets to gain practical financial learning experience.

TEACHER ZHANG XIAOYU

Graduated from the Department of Economics at the University of Bath in the UK (First Class Honors), published papers on behavioral finance in the European Journal of Applied Economics, served as a consulting advisor for a European educational charity, and currently serves as the China Regional Director for Amplify Trading. With 7 years of experience in international financial market trading and training, she previously worked as an equity/stock index derivatives trader at Morgan Stanley's London headquarters, designed and conducted financial employability enhancement seminars for renowned UK universities such as Oxford University, Cambridge University, London School of Economics and Political Science, and Imperial College London.

TEACHER YIN HANG

Full-time teaching lecturer for Amplify Trading in China and a senior lecturer for CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). Graduated from a master's program in the United States and has worked for leading global financial companies and real estate consulting firms for 5 years after returning to China. He has served as an IPO public relations director and client director, with extensive experience in the financial industry. He was responsible for the IPOs of companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, including Bilibili, Vipshop, Ctrip Travel, and Huazhu Group.

Before participating in this project, I didn't deeply understand the finance profession. During the program, the teachers explained various aspects of the finance profession in detail, such as essential concepts, monetary policy, the functions of multiple departments in the finance industry, behavioral economics, university primary selection, and overall planning in the finance industry. This helped me fundamentally, comprehensively, and profoundly understand this profession and, to some extent, influenced my career choice.

Through this program, I gained a practical understanding of the skills required in this industry. I found that observation, calculation, and social skills are all important. If I decide to pursue a career in finance in the future, I need to train my mental arithmetic and psychological resilience. This gave me a more precise direction. In terms of professional skills, I learned how to assess risks preliminarily, how to take short and long positions, when to liquidate positions, and when to change investment products. Regarding comprehensive abilities, I became more proactive in establishing social relationships, which is difficult for top-level individuals.

After this practice, I found that I had misconceptions about some professions, and precisely, these misconceptions made me more interested in specific careers. They're different from what I imagined, and they become more attractive to me when they're different. This experience made me more interested in this industry and the position of investment manager. I discovered that this industry is not as dull as I thought. On the contrary, it is a very sophisticated industry.
Moreover, this experience gave me a relatively unfamiliar experience (practice, asset allocation, evaluating investment ratios, etc.). These are relatively professional skills that I have never encountered before. After constantly consulting and seeking help from teachers, I became calmer when facing changes in stock market gains. I no longer panic or feel at a loss like when I first encountered practical operations. Instead, I learned to calmly analyze the market situation and handle the news's impact. The turbulence in my heart was less significant when experiencing losses or profits. Moreover, each attempt made my news analysis more accurate, and I made correct trades.
