About PolyU Summer School: Electronic and Electrical Engineering

Founded in 1937, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) stands as one of the oldest higher education institutions in Hong Kong and is ranked 57th in the QS World University Rankings 2025. PolyU boasts an excellent academic reputation in engineering, technology, business, and design. This program centers on Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), assisting students in constructing a cognitive framework. The Course revolves around core areas of EEE, ranging from basic electronic circuit design to the concepts and development of semiconductors. It also analyzes how AI empowers the field of electronic engineering and explores innovative applications in the electric vehicle industry. The program further includes visits to PolyU's cutting-edge laboratories and renowned enterprises or institutions in Hong Kong. By integrating theoretical learning, industry analysis, and visits, students will systematically navigate the learning directions and career development paths within EEE. Upon the successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Certificate of Participation issued by the Research Center, PolyU, and a Certificate in Careers and Experiencing Work Short Course accredited by UCAS. Outstanding students will earn letters of recommendation signed by PolyU mentors, bolstering their university applications.

The summer school is a customized summer program held at PolyU, collaborating with the Research Center, PolyU and taught by experienced mentors from PolyU, but not directly affiliated with PolyU or its constituent departments. Grades from the course cannot be converted into PolyU credits.
