Mindfront Mental Health Care
With the rapid development of social economy, psychological consultation and psychotherapy have attracted more and more attention. Interdisciplinary talents with backgrounds in psychology, neuroscience and other related disciplines are increasingly in demand, and these related majors have become popular college selection. For senior high school students who want to learn psychology and mental health in the future, the opportunity of first-line practice internship has been extremely scarce. ASDAN China, together with Mindfront Health(China) , the world's leading mental health care organization, launch the first mental and psychological treatment program for high school students. Students will be led by professional front-line doctors and experts to carry out immersive professional practice in Mindfront Mental Health Care, systematically learning neurological and psychological theories, carrying out psychological consultation, psychological evaluation, and psychotherapy and other rounds of practice, completing a career experience from psychology enthusiasts to professional students.

Dr. Qiu, the former psychiatrist at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, holding a Master's degree in Psychiatry and Mental Health from Sun Yat-sen University, a member of the Psychiatry Management Branch of the Guangdong Medical Industry Association, a psychological counseling expert for the Guangdong Provincial Communist Youth League's 12355 Youth Comprehensive Service Platform, and a member of the Chinese Neuroscience Society. Dr. Qiu has led provincial-level research projects and published multiple papers in domestic and international core journals in psychiatry and sexual medicine.
Outputs
Conduct multi-round practice such as mental consulting, mental assessment, art therapy, physical treatment, etc., analyze cases of real patients, and propose consulting and treatment proposals.

My favorite part was learning about psychological schools because I didn't understand the various psychological schools before this. However, during this week, I learned a lot. I particularly enjoyed learning about humanistic therapy, especially empathy, which I found very intriguing! Toward the end, we tried to simulate being counselors to conduct counseling services. - My favorite part was the course on diagnosing mental illnesses. We learned about the symptoms and diagnostic criteria of different mental disorders. We started by briefly assessing a patient's symptoms to determine which disorder they might belong to, and then we used scales to evaluate them comprehensively. For example, symptoms associated with depression include low mood, anxiety, and silence. We learned some techniques for making initial judgments about common psychological disorders.

- My favorite parts were the first day's study of mental health and the last day's music therapy. The first day's study was fulfilling as the teacher guided us through understanding common mental illnesses, such as the symptoms of depression or anxiety, as well as symptoms of hallucinations. On the last day, during music therapy, we chose our favorite instruments to freely express ourselves through music, which brought us closer together and taught me a lot.
