About United Family Hospital Clinical Medicine Training

Health and medical care are indispensable in people's daily lives, especially as the overall demand for healthcare among the populace continues to rise. At the same time, increases in wealth, improvements in medical conditions, and heightened awareness of healthcare further propel the continuous expansion of the global healthcare market. Statistical data indicates that the global healthcare market exceeded $1.5 trillion in 2023, demonstrating robust growth momentum. Correspondingly, the cultivation and output of talent in medical and related disciplines are of utmost importance. According to statistics published by UCAS, medical-related majors topped the list of applications for the 2024 application season in mainland China. In collaboration with Shanghai United Family Hospital, ASEEDER has launched the United Family Hospital Clinical Medicine Training Program, offering hands-on training at Shanghai United Family Hospital. Senior medical mentors, pharmacists, medical technicians, nutrition experts, and other professionals are invited to give specialized lectures. Combining basic theoretical courses in general medicine, emergency medicine, and surgical clinical medicine, the program focuses on learning and practice in nutrition, pharmacy, dermatology, medical aesthetics, and more. Students will engage in multiple rounds of medical practice, including clinical simulation consultations, emergency CPR handling, surgical simulation practices, and digital imaging medicine practices. Upon the successful completion of the program, students will receive a Certificate of Participation issued by Shanghai United Family Healthcare and a Certificate in Careers and Experiencing Work Short Course accredited by UCA. Outstanding students may also receive recommendation letters signed by their mentors.

    • Dr Zhou has nearly 20 years of experience in family medicine and pediatrics. Prior to joining Shanghai United Family Pudong Hospital, she worked in tertiary hospitals, both in China and the USA, as a general practitioner in both outpatient and ward services, mastering the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases from neonates to the elderly. In addition, she has dedicated years to frontline general practice, encompassing clinical teaching at Tongji Medical College and residency training in the United Family Healthcare general practice program.
