DR. DENG, SENIOR CONSULTANT PSYCHOLOGIST AT MINDFRONT

Dr. Deng holds a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University, USA, and has completed advanced clinical diagnostic courses at New York University. She is a registered psychotherapist in the state of New York, USA. With experience working and interning at top-ranking comprehensive hospitals in New York State (Mount Sinai Hospital and NYU Langone Health) and psychological specialty clinics in Manhattan, Mr. Deng specializes in depression, anxiety, self-identity, personal development, interpersonal relationships, and cross-cultural conflicts. She also has extensive experience in women's mental health.

DR. YUE, CHIEF PSYCHIATRIST

Dr. Yue, a nationally certified second-level psychological counselor and psychotherapist, a member of the Shanghai Medical Association's Third Psychiatric Physicians Branch, with nearly 30 years of teaching and research experience in the psychiatry departments of Shanghai's top-tier hospitals, has published almost 30 academic papers in domestic and international core journals. Dr. Yue specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of emotional issues such as depression and anxiety, as well as eating disorders, adolescent learning difficulties, and issues related to adolescence.

One of the most beneficial aspects of the program for me was the theoretical study of psychological assessment. Through practical exercises applying psychological assessment to case studies, I understood the underlying principles of physical therapy, such as applying MECT for conditions like emotional and behavioral disorders and the principles behind rTMS. We also experienced specific physical therapy instruments in group collaboration, experiencing the physiological effects of rTMS therapy. Another memorable part of the program was on the final day when we learned about the principles and methods of psychotherapy and music therapy. We engaged in simulated music therapy experiences, playing different musical instruments with the guidance of our instructor, and experienced the psychological healing brought about by music therapy.

I enjoyed the simulated psychological counseling sessions. For me, the process of simulated counseling was an opportunity to solidify and apply the knowledge I've learned and develop it further. My favorite part was the introduction and case analysis of CBT and mental disorders. It delved into a lot of practical knowledge and detailed handling techniques.
